For the treatment of neuro-musculoskeletal dysfunction, our physiotherapists use an approach that includes a careful functional, kinesiological and postural assessment on the basis of which they define targeted, simple and comprehensible therapeutic exercises, which are integrated with specific manual therapy treatments.
The objective of the treatments for neuro-musculoskeletal dysfunctions carried out at the Papa Giovanni Physiotherapy Centre is the reduction of pain associated with the recovery of movement and function. Each patient is followed with an individual programme tailored to their specific needs, so as to facilitate the best possible recovery of function through targeted approaches and, more importantly, the learning of active and aware movements.
It should be remembered that the acquisition of correct movements is essential in the treatment of dysfunction as well as in prevention: the physiotherapist’s task is therefore, first and foremost, to guide patients towards full awareness of their bodies.
